I have a new painting titled "Lifting Clouds" and it's a nice companion piece to "Higher Vibration". Both painting are vertical, textured and painted on 18x36 inch canvases that are 1.5 inches deep. The textures are different, "Lifting Clouds" has an impasto texture made with a palette knife, and the sides are finished with smooth brushwork. "Harmonic Vibrations" has a surface created from acrylic mediums and sand, and this texture is continued around the sides. Both paintings have a similar compositional approach with elements from my "Points of Light" series of paintings, and both have an upward movement with lighter colors. The whiter colors move through the chromatic passages like clouds of bright dust in a Nebula. "Vibration" is more on the surface with denser whites and tiny geometric forms that anchor the viewer on the surface, "Clouds" has more suggestion of depth as the clouds move in front of and behind each other.
Here is a video of the two side by side.
So very grateful to wake up to two identical orders of "Daydream" canvas prints this morning, one here on my website, one on Etsy and each set is going to a completely different part of the world. It's amazing.
I've been very busy with commissions for the last nine months or so, so my new originals that were in progress had to sit on the shelf. I love to paint commissions for people. It's very soothing for me to have been paid for a work of art before it's even started. So I just stay in my home studio with music or TV or audiobooks and paint away. It's lovely, cozy, happy. But the call of new creations that want to come to life is always right beneath the surface, waiting to explode forth with fresh new energy.
This piece is called "Harmonic Vibrations" because I love to think about the vibrational nature of the universe...how all matter is energy vibrating at different frequencies. We all know how it feels when our world is vibrating in a harmonic way, and we know how it feels when our world is vibrating in a discordant way.
Harmony always feels wonderful, but life has a way of taking the discordant times, like those 9th and 11th chords that vibrate on the outer edges of harmony and sometimes just spill over into chaos, and uses those experiences to allow us to forge a future that benefits from the powerful asking for improvement that happens during times of discord.
So it's all good.....but I still prefer harmony.
"Nebula 35" This is one of my many "Nebula" space paintings that shows fluid, expanding or explosive color, as you might see were it possible to be inside a nebula. This image is all high key, light colors. Not included is the dark background of outer space, but intense, bright color throughout.
There is a textured underpainting beneath the surface paint...I'll include some close-up images.
I opted to continue the painting around the sides of this canvas. I'll include images of the sides as well. Please let me know if you need additional images. I no longer show my art in person, but only on the internet. I'm always happy to provide additional photographs and even videos of my paintings should a potential collector need more imagery.
The canvas is wrapped around a heavy duty, 1.5 inch deep canvas. The canvas itself is a heavier gauge and has a thick application of paint.
A signed certificate of authenticity is provided to the buyer. This original painting is signed on the front, signed and titled on the back, wired and ready to hang.

Giclee prints on canvas will be made available.
I created this original oil painting in 1999. I wanted to make a painting that expressed an exquisite feeling of solitude, but instead I think I made a painting that is about a figure in harmony with her environment. Available as a giclee print.
"Momentum" Beautiful triptych with orange, deep violet, crimson, turquoise, yellow, white colors with flowing colors and tiny details. In my art, I wish to uplift and inspire people to a higher vibration and I hope that people will gain a sense of that when being in it's presence. The title "Momentum" represents to me those times when we get a good vibe going in our lives and it starts to pick up steam and gather momentum.
This painting was a challenge to reproduce, and to get the colors right. Every painting is a different experience when I take it into my photo room to make high resolution photographic images to be used in the printing process. Momentum took quite a few photo sessions and quite a few hours in Photoshop to get it right. You can buy here on my website or purchase many printed products made from the original canvas paintings in my Pixels Print Store.
Printed with rich, vivid archival pigment inks on a thick poly-cotton canvas. The image is mirror wrapped around 1.5" deep kiln-dried wooden stretcher bars and stapled on the back. The canvas is varnished with glossy varnish to enhance the colors and protect the printed surface. Ready to hang with pre-attached hanging wire.

A new geometric painting with a lively composition, flat planes of color and hard-edged abstraction. This recalls my love of Kandinsky's late geometric paintings. I was having a dialog with myself one day, and I heard myself speak the title of this painting. It really stuck with me and contains a powerful resonance at this point of my life. This was the first painting I finished after that experience and the title seemed to fit. 24x30 inches, 1.5 inch deep canvas, acrylic. https://www.sallytrace.com/store/p554/sometimes-you-just-get-lucky-geometric-painting.html
My original painting "Higher Vibration" is a very textured, beautiful original painting that evolved slowly as I scumbled colors over colors. 36x18 inches, 1.5 inch deep heavy duty canvas.
One of my fluid acrylic paintings, and part of my Nebula Series. "Playful Persuasion" to me, is about how the Universe is essentially playful. The birth of galaxies, the lifespan of humans...all of these things are essentially pure creativity which is playful. These were my thoughts in regards to this painting.
24" high, 36" wide. The canvas is on 3/4" deep stretcher bars, and wrapped around and stapled in the back. I painted the edges black. Acrylic painting on 100% cotton canvas. Gallery wrapped, back stapled. Several layers of gloss varnish provide a wonderful surface.

This is the third in my "Coming Alive" series. We all have times in our lives where we feel less than full force, when we lose our mojo or become depressed. In my experience, there is always an upside to these experiences. It may not be fun while it's happening, but when we find our way out of these dips and feel the life force once again surging through our being and our bodies, well that is the best, my favorite thing. I've had many of these experiences through the years and like to always remember that this is why we have down times, so that we can appreciate being up.
