A bit of prose came to me while I was painting in silence with no music, no audiobook, no TV.
I figured I'd better write it down before someone else does
Color is a Language
Sometimes it’s clear and succinct; sometimes it’s thick and muddy
Sometimes it’s thin and wispy and floats through the air, sometimes it sets up like concrete
Sometimes it’s sacred, sometimes profane
Sometimes it’s pure and delicate like a toddler in a pinafore
Sometimes it’s a drag queen at 3am walking to their car.
Sometimes it’s the cold light of day; sometimes the warm fire of sunset.
Sometimes it’s earth, churning it’s refuse into rich, life-giving nutrients,
Sometimes it’s light through a prism revealing its glorious bands of rainbow.
