I spent quite a few hours today working on my images of "Equilibrium" for giclée prints. A buyer had requested a print. Getting the colors right was more challenging than I expected. These things take time so I tend to put it off, but it's just got to be done. Sometimes spending a number of hours working in Photoshop can drive me crazy, but today it was very pleasant.
I'm finishing out 2019 with tremendous appreciation for my art collectors. Below are photos that a very talented buyer sent...a giclée print of my painting "Urbanity 2" hangs in her beautiful modern dining room. I love the juxtaposition of the very geometric shapes of the table, chairs and chandelier against the very organic glass pieces on the wall. My art has both straight lined geometric shapes and also curved shapes, as do the chairs, and they all sit so nicely with the lovely round organic shapes of the glass. Very nicely done modern contemporary interior design.
...Hi Sally. You are welcome to use the photos. I am so pleased with how it all turned out. Everyone who comes over just stops and walks to the dining room as the painting creates a focal point from our foyer. They are wowed with how beautiful it is.
"Urbanity 2" Giclee Print on Stretched Canvas
My new painting "Synchronism" is one of my geometric paintings with hard edge areas of color, earthy oranges, reds and browns composed together with prismatic blues, violets, greens, yellows, rose colors and some grays. Areas of color are gradated and outlined in black. Roundabout meandering lines are measured against horizontal and vertical lines. The sides are painted black as well.

"Unified Theory" a New Geometric Abstract Painting with Chromatic Grays, Earthy Hues and Brilliant Prismatic Colors
"Unified Theory", a new 36 x 36 inch geometric abstract painting with earthy hues and chromatic grays interspersed with brilliant blues and greens and yellows, prismatic rose and violet, oranges, reds and turquoises.
This is a new giclée print that I'm offering. The image is from a painting I made in 2000.
" Lighthouse" is an oil painting I created in the year 2000. At that time I was very concerned with learning to have faith in a higher power. How to have it and how to trust. Several of my paintings from that period were abstractions with a theme about being on a rocky sea but knowing that all is well. I have since learned that the way to do this is to focus more on the higher power and less on the rocky sea. My objectives in painting remain the same: create beauty that is compelling. To do this one must allow the higher power to operate through the artist. ~Sally
So very grateful to wake up to two identical orders of "Daydream" canvas prints this morning, one here on my website, one on Etsy and each set is going to a completely different part of the world. It's amazing.
I created this original oil painting in 1999. I wanted to make a painting that expressed an exquisite feeling of solitude, but instead I think I made a painting that is about a figure in harmony with her environment. Available as a giclee print.
A new geometric painting with a lively composition, flat planes of color and hard-edged abstraction. This recalls my love of Kandinsky's late geometric paintings. I was having a dialog with myself one day, and I heard myself speak the title of this painting. It really stuck with me and contains a powerful resonance at this point of my life. This was the first painting I finished after that experience and the title seemed to fit. 24x30 inches, 1.5 inch deep canvas, acrylic. https://www.sallytrace.com/store/p554/sometimes-you-just-get-lucky-geometric-painting.html
An abstract cityscape or landscape painting with a geometric composition and a textured surface. Acrylic mixed media on canvas, 24" high, 48" wide, 1½ inch deep gallery wrapped canvas.
"Summer Tree" One of my geometric textured tree paintings. This painting has slightly different textures in the individual sections, 36x18 inches, acrylic on canvas.
I have had so many wonderful art buyers commission me to create new originals this year!!! It has been non-stop for me since the middle of summer. I've learned many things about my working process, what I can do, what I love to do and what I don't want to do. Here is a great painting that I'm working on right now, and it's close to being finished.
"Daydream" is available as canvas giclee prints.
Today's painting is titled "Into the Day". It evolved over a period of time.
I wasn't sure if I'd be using the black outlines, but did decide to go for it and am very happy with the result. When I look at it, I feel the pull of a new day calling a person to venture forth.
Here is it's page.
